Rocket technology at the service of scientific research
The BME Aerospace Team is an innovative, science-driven and motivated student rocket engineering team, where besides technical developments, the enrichment of student knowledge is also a priority.
Their Aether S rocket, designed and built during 2022, is capable of delivering a 3 kg payload up to 12 km. During its first flight in January 2023, the Aether S reached 2.2 times the speed of sound and the 7 km altitude planned for the test launch.
For the 2024 season, the team is preparing several novelties that will be presented at international competitions and launches in Hungary.
The focus of the BME Aerospace Team is on on-board computers, ground equipment (e.g. antenna systems) and active aerodynamic control.
